Real Estate Market Report
The Battle Ground real estate market report has seen some ups and downs over the last few months. July was a particularly slow month with the average listing price being at $350,000 and the median sales price at $203,000. The average listing price has remained stable throughout the month of June in July but the median sales price has gone down about 3%.
Overall, foreclosures are down and there are currently 320 homes for sale with 83 foreclosures. This is great news for our market in general. There are more seller/owner’s currently on the market with competitive prices and less banks vying for first-time homebuyers
Overall, across the board were seeing an increase in average listing prices and sales prices since last year. We’re up nearly 10% over last year which is great news for sellers. Buyers on the other hand may find themselves struggling and competing for several offers. Refinancing is starting to slow because interest rates are creeping up. But again, anything under a 5% interest rate is a pretty good deal and buyer should still jump on board the real estate buying bandwagon before it gets too much higher.
